3D in GDevelop is Here, Thanks to a Community Extension!

GDevelop started a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. And for a while, you've been asking for one thing: 3D in GDevelop.

UPDATE:

GDevelop now supports 3D natively! No need for extra extensions. Even the editor is now 3D-enabled, so you won't need to do any guesswork while working on 3D games.

Well, now, it is possible! Thanks to PANDAKO's excellent extension, the possibility of creating 3D experiences in GDevelop is here. Watch the video for more information!

Many thanks to PANDAKO for the extension (which you can download on their itch.io page), and to Entropy for the game example! We're always grateful to the amazing GDevelop community for their efforts in creating wonderful content and pushing boundaries.

Please bear in mind, this is a recently-released extension, created by a community member, that has not been officially integrated into, and is not officially maintained by, GDevelop.

Therefore, do not expect a streamline experience while implementing 3D into games and experiences. This is very much a work-in-progress feature.

However, it's already very fun to play with and surprisingly compatible with a lot of existing extensions and behaviors.
