From April 22nd to April 25th, 75 people participated in the GDevelop Examples Jam #1. This was a shorter event than the GDevelop Game Jam #1 held in February, which ran for a full 10 days. However, there was just as much enthusiasm from the participants and quality in their submissions!
People and teams competed for a chance to win 1 of 3 1-year GDevelop Premium subscriptions and the opportunity to be chosen to become a part of future GDevelop releases.
Examples and game templates are a crucial part of making GDevelop accessible to both newcomers and experienced users alike. During the course of one weekend, nearly 80 people worked hard to submit 25 examples and templates. This is open source at work: a community of like-minded people working together to make something better.

In order to be a part of future GDevelop releases, participants are allowed to improve their examples (if they so wish) and submit them using the instructions in the official wiki.
Examples and templates that make it through final selection will become a part of GDevelop!
Community events are a top priority. They bring us all together in a fun, creative environment where everyone is allowed to shine. Therefore, you can expect the next GDevelop event in the near future.
For now, we'd like to thank the GDevelop community and its members for their enthusiasm and participation in this and previous jams. We hope to see you all in the next one!
